Story
We've all felt the effects of Covid-19 differently. For some of us, it put to a halt our summer plans; for others it meant they haven't seen family in a while. But for many, the loss of employment has meant that they can no longer afford to eat. Additionally, the government's recent decision to end free school meals during holidays in conjunction with the upcoming ending of the furlough scheme, only means that more families, through no fault of their own, may find themselves without food this winter.
With foodbank usage set to rise in the UK by 61% between October and December, I have decided to challenge myself to run a total of 100km throughout November to raise money for the Gateshead Foodbank, an amazing charity that has been providing food for people in the local community.
It would be so great if you guys could donate and help this amazing charity because nobody should have to go to bed hungry.
I'll be posting regular updates on how the challenge is going!
Thank you so much,
Rudo :)
