I am doing this hike to raise awareness of diabetes and to help support scientific research into this life-threatening disease. 

JDRF are the world's leading Type 1 diabetes funding organisation and I want to do my bit to help.

My uncle died of Type 1 diabetes in 2012 and it was a real shame as he was just 27 years old.
