Running Berlin Marathon to Aim Skye High

BMW Berlin Marathon 2017 · 24 September 2017 ·
I met Skye on August 27th 2014 when delivering his hot tub wish. Skye was desperate to swim again, after his hydrotherapy had been stopped. Skye had a brain tumour, but that wasn't the reason he was in a state of paraplegia, with double incontinence, and very poor use of his upper limbs and hands - that was down to the white matter lesions caused by the treatment protocol he was given.
A treatment protocol which was withdrawn very shortly after the consultants realised the damage it had done to Skye. A treatment protocol which had already been withdrawn across Europe.
There is a sad fact that not only is Brain Tumour research chronically underfunded, the side-effects are not recorded and shared with other consultants.
Skye passed away on August 29th 2014 - just two days after I met him.
He has changed my life and I am planning to run Berlin marathon for him. In his last video to his fans, Skye said "Make the most of what you've got" A five year old boy, who was struggling to breathe, fighting to stay alive, said "make the most of what you've got."
I have legs, which are strong enough to run, so run I will. New York marathon was really tough mentally for me, I'm hoping to do Skye proud at Berlin.
