Leeds Half Marathon 2023 · 14 May 2023 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So I have decided to get my size 12 running shoes on and attempt to run a half marathon in Leeds on 14th May 2023.

This may not seem too much of a challenge for someone that was once quite physically fit but having done next to no training over the last 10 years my fitness is probably at an all time low. Add to that the niggly injuries, a chronic skin condition which can be triggered by intense exercise and a baby that doesn't like to sleep too much is going to make this an extremely tough task!

It's no secret that this cause is so close to my heart having seen my mum suffer terribly from MND before it ultimately ended her life too early. The personalities in the public eye including Rob Burrow, Kevin Sinfield and the late Doddie Weir are also a huge inspiration.

Please donate what you can, doesn't matter how small or large, it all helps and goes towards finding a cure and supporting those suffering with MND.
