Lake District Ultra Challenge 2023 · 10 June 2023 to 11 June 2023 ·

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

On 10th June 2023 we will be running the Lake District Ultra in memory of our uncle Ralph who sadly passed away earlier this year after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Ralph was a great man who truly embodied the Icelandic spirit; strong, optimistic and conscientious, and he was determined to live life to the fullest. In his honour, we are stepping outside of our comfort zone and have committed to run our first 100km ultra marathon to help raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.

Donating through here is simple and secure. Your details are safe and all the proceeds go to Prostate Cancer UK.

Money raised will fund research into better ways of diagnosing Prostate Cancer so that men can be diagnosed earlier and more accurately.

Thank you for every pound, pence and thumbs up you can give!

The Event -

This is a continuous 100km ultra marathon starting on 10th June 2023 in the Lake District. It is a looped route starting and finishing in Kendal and includes 2.5km elevation.

Without doubt, this is our biggest personal challenge to date!
