As the world is fully aware, Ukraine and its people have been left devastated by Russia's invasion & subsequent war, with over 2 million refugees & more than 1,000 civilian casualties since the conflict began on February 24th, a number which unfortunately is still rising.

Under the banner 'Run For Ukraine' both runners, Michael & Stepan are 3rd generation, British born Ukrainians that were always running the Edinburgh Marathon, long before the war started. However, as soon as the war started they both wanted to do 'their bit' to support Ukraine & Ukrainians.

A joint decision between Michael & Stepan was made to raise funds for Dnipro Kids because of its Scottish/Ukrainian links, given the fact they will be running the Edinburgh marathon. For more information about their fantastic work, please check out their website: https://dniprokids.com/
