Run Wild does the Reclaim the Night 2021 Challenge · 5 March 2021

Manchester Women’s Aid, part of The Pankhurst Trust, exists to provide a holistic, safety-first approach, where the prospect of a life free from abuse is possible. Our work has impacted the lives of over 30,000 individuals, helping them live a life free from abuse.

Story

Every year at Reclaim the Night we march 2.4 kilometres down Oxford Road, in protest to sexual harassment and gender based violence. Sadly, this year we can't come together to voice our anger, but we can still make a difference.

At Run Wild, we are proud to be taking part in the Reclaim the Night 2021 Challenge.

We aim to take the challenge, virtually, on or around Tuesday 16th March. Walk, run, or wheel the length of the march (2.4km), which is the distance between Owen’s Park and the Students Union for those in Manchester, and donate £5.

Or, for those who fancy a longer challenge, run from Owen’s Park to St. Peter’s Square (4km, or there and back, 8km!) to take a photo with the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst, which you can share to our Facebook page or in our Discord chat.

Share your runs on Strava with the hashtag #reclaimthenight, and don’t forget to donate to the Run Wild Reclaim the Night Just Giving page.

All of the money raised will go to The Pankhurst Trust (incorporating Manchester Women's Aid) who do amazing work to support victims of domestic abuse.

Let's join together to Reclaim the Night!
