Story
On 28th July 2016 Sam and I had our world turned upside down. Our beautiful son, George Edison Woodward, was born at 1.23pm but heartbreakingly passed away 27 minutes later.
Sam and I have always said we want to raise money for the charities that helped us following the death of our George. This year Will, Ardy, Dave and I will all be running the full 26.2 miles Clarendon Marathon (www.clarendon-marathon.co.uk) between Salisbury and Winchester raising money for Winchester Pregnancy Crisis Centre.
This wonderful, small charity offers free support and help to families on all sorts of issues around pregnancy, providing much needed support on miscarriages, still births and neo-natal deaths. Sam and I have been seeing a councillor here for over a year and they have been wonderful for us – always available, always ready to listen. It has been invaluable in helping us make sense of the rollercoaster of emotions that come with grief and for that we will be forever grateful.
The charity is entirely funded by donations and all their services are free to those who sadly find themselves in need. It takes over £1000 a month to keep this charity running. Any contribution would be so appreciated.
