I did it!! Thankyou so much to everyone for your fantastic support it really helped me get through the race. As you may know it was the hottest london marathon ever with people supposedly 'dropping like flies' (to quote gordon ramsay!). I completed the marathon in 4 hours 22 mins and 28 seconds, 2 minutes slower than gordon ramsay but 10 minutes faster than mat dawson! Thanks once again to everyone but a special thanks to gill, my training buddy over the last 3 months, my family, for being there but not actually seeing me, uncle justin and uncle fabe, making sure i got to the start line and dint take a rickshaw to the finish, and of course to jake, for being my inspiration. You can still donate on this site for another two months so go on!! Your efforts have helped me raise a total of £5000 for CLDF, an amount I could never have imagined raising at the start of this challenge.

Anyway, my inspiration in undertaking such a ridiculous challenge for CLDF has been Jake Fields. Jake and I have been mates since we were 5 (eaton house days) and he has always had problems with his liver. Yet these problems flared up in the winter of 2005 and Jake was seriously ill for many months. Consequently, Jake had a liver transplant on 9th October 2006. He has now made a full recovery and looks forward to taking control of his life, something which we all take for granted. My run is dedicated to Jake in order to recognise his achievement whilst also raising as much money as possible for this fantastic charity. So please give generously, have a great easter and hopefully see some of you on race day!
