Avon Wildlife Trust is the largest local charity working to protect wildlife and inspire people in the West of England. We work across the old county of Avon and cover the four local authority areas of Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset.

Story

3 March 2015. One year ago today our brother in law Justin died suddenly aged 46. What a loss. But Justin packed four lives into his short one!

We are raising funds for the Justin Smith Foundation, managed by the Avon Wildlife Trust, to continue Justin's gift for teaching people about ecology.

We are the Three 'Moss-keteers': Ben Wallis, Cate Colston (nee Wallis) and Martin Colston. All for one, one for all, and doing it all for Justin. Ben will be running his first marathon - first ever Bristol to Bath marathon on 25th October 2015, Cate will be running her first half-marathon - the Bristol Half Marathon on 13th September 2015 , and Martin will be doing the Bristol Harbourside Triathlon on 14th June 2015.

We want to do this for Justin, our sister (-in-law) Lucy and nephew Wilf, for Suzanne and our families, friends and colleagues - and for everyone who loved Justin. If we can do it there'll be a big salute for people who enjoy and care about the environment and want to protect fungi and plant ecology.

Any support will help us stay on track!
