One year after receiving a Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia diagnosis and Christine (Our mother, Friend, Aunty, Nana) has changed so much.  This disease really is gut wrenching to live with and for all those around her, including my father who is struggling to come to terms with how our mum, his wife is literally changing from the person she was, to unrecognising her loved ones around her.

I don’t feel enough people understand just how bad things have got for our family and what they have to go through on a dad to day basis, and although you may feel any fundraising may be a drop in ocean and won’t cure this disease, it’s about showing your support for such a beautiful, incredible woman, who through her life has been selfless, loving, supportive and caring without asking for anything in return 

This is my opportunity and the families to show just how much we all love, care and respect what she has done for all of us over the years.  This years events include

100km Ultra Run around the Isle Of Wight 

Trek26 - Marathon & 1/2 Marathon walk across the Brecon Beacons 

The London Marathon 2022

Thank you for supporting us, and on a personal note after gaining 5 stone in weight and being inactive for nearly 6 months, this will be one hell of a challenge, but nowhere near has hard as my parents have got it right now 

Every three minutes, someone develops dementia. We can beat it, but we cant do it alone. Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted in their community.
