Story

Thanks for supporting our fundraising.

Cancer has touched both our lives over the past few years and in 2023 we are doing our bit to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief, a amazing charity that has has helped our family and friends.

My sister, Simon's sister in law, will always be one of the most beautiful people to walk this earth and it breaks my heart that she is no longer here. We, her family, will be forever grateful for the kindness and support given when it was needed most.

Robert was Simon's friend since they met at school in the 1980's.  Even when they had not seen other for months, as soon as they had a get together it was like they had never been apart.  Unfortunately in 2023, after a short battle with cancer, he passed away.

Like so many families when that bombshell explodes and your world is torn apart it is a relief to know someone is there to help. Our fundraising will not save lives but it will help make the lives of others more comfortable.

Over the past year we have completed several challenges, the Rotherham 10km, Norwich 60mile bike ride, Mighty Hike Marathon over the Peak District, of which many people have donated.

2023 culminates in two challenges for Simon and myself, both of which will be a challenge to say the least! On Sunday 10th September I will be competing the the Great North Run, and Simon will be cycling from London to Brighton.

None of these will be easy but with the support and encouragement of our family and friends we will succeed and will take satisfaction that we have in someway helped another person/family through this devastating experience.
