Story
Starting Monday 8th June 2020 I will run 50 miles in 30 days for the Alzheimer's Society!
Dementia is an illness very close to mine and my family's heart as after my dad, Harry, had multiple TIA's (mini-strokes) in late 2012 and at the age of 56 was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia.
We have both struggled and pulled together as a family through everything with support from the Alzheimer's Society who provide an amazing service for those affected by the illness and their families.
Very few of us will go through life without a family member or close friend becoming affected by this illness, and the Alzheimer's Society is currently the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention and have committed to spending £150 million on cutting-edge research over the next decade.
Every penny counts, so if you can even afford a few quid, your money is going to such an incredible cause.
It's also my Dad's 64th birthday on 10th June, so 8 years on from being diagnosed. Happy Birthday Dad, love you loads xx
Thank you
