How many miles can you run in 30 days? Could you take on 50 or 100 miles to help us beat dementia?

Story

The past few months have been tough for everyone, but coronavirus has hit those affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives. So that's why I'm lacing up my trainers for the FIRST time ever and taking on a Run for Dementia with my friends who are also my colleagues Kelly and Fiona, myself and Fiona both have family members suffering with Dementia and are lucky to have Kelly joining in with us to help raise money. Every day is tough loving and knowing someone with Dementia, but under the circumstances of this year, it has made everything harder and we are missing our loved ones terribly. It all started with us challenging ourselves to the couch to 5k, so in January we began our training and will continue throughout February, in preparation for our fundraiser 50 miles in March. We really are NO experts so this should be a massive challenge!

I know it’s a difficult time for lots of people financially, so even if your support means simply spurring me on and possibly sharing my story or if you could make a small donation to support and ensure Alzheimer's Society can be there for the people who need them most, it would be so gratefully received , wish us luck xxx
