Story
I feel extremely grateful that nobody in my family is closely affected by dementia and I’d like to keep it that way. I’m running to help find a cure for this disease and support everyone who is affected by dementia. It’s a privilege to work at Alzheimer’s Society and speak to so many amazing people who are making a difference wether that’s through fundraising, sharing their story or becoming an ambassador.
This will be extremely challenging for me as I haven’t JOGWA’d (Jog and walk;, more walking to be honest) since before lockdown and I’m not going to lie, I’ve probably (I have definitely) put on a few (more than a few) pounds. I’m already feeling nervous, what if I can’t do it, what if I fail and let people down but what is really motivating me is all the people who face dementia every single day. The families, the friends and the carers the people living with dementia - this is for you!
Anyone who is a runner will know only too well what it means to get a medal 🥇 Please donate to support me and ensure Alzheimer's Society can be there for the people who need them most.
No going back now, my trainers are at the door ready for the morning.
