National 3 Peaks Team Relay Run · 23 May 2020

ForAfrika is driven by a deep love for the land and for our people. We are here before others come, and we remain after they leave. With our head office in South Africa, and 651 staff globally, our goal is to empower 20 million Africans to sustainably provide for themselves by 2032.

Story

Run Forest Run is going bigger than ever this year with our first ever TEAM adventure in aid of Joint Aid Management (JAM). We will be taking on the UK National 3 Peak Challenge in an aim to break the current men's relay run record and raise funds for JAM. The current record to summit the 3 highest peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scaffel Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales) and run the entire distance (~665km) between the peaks stands at 54 hours 39min.

This is the 4th time that Run Forest Run will be raising funds for JAM, and we cannot wait to see the impact it will have.

We have been touched by the amazing work the JAM organisation does on a daily basis to make a tangible difference in thousands of people's lives through their caring and practical approach to help those less fortunate in Africa.

JAM has an aim to empower Africans to create better lives for themselves. JAM wants to transform African communities by developing viable social and commercial enterprise. Their goal is to HELP AFRICA HELP ITSELF, using their Complete Community Development Assistance approach in order to:

1. Save lives through the provision of nutritional food, water and sanitation

2. Sustain lives through health and social programmes such as HIV/Aids training, small holder farmer assistance, basic skills development, nutrition and health education

3. Improve lives through education, technical training and transitional finance

4. Create better lives by providing linkages to sustainable commercial business development
