Run For Syria

Run For Syria · 23 April 2017
In 2016 and after many failed attempts to visit my family who I haven’t seen for 6 years, I took up running, a sport that helped me deal with witnessing my home city Aleppo and country Syria being torn by a war that resulted to what has been described as the worst humanitarian crisis since world war two.
I decided to start this running campaign to raise money in support of Amnesty International specifically because of their continuous great work for Syrian and LGBTQ+ causes and Human Rights in general.
Starting from September 2017, I’ll be running to what would accumulate to a 300K by running 16 10Ks, 5 Half Marathons and one whole Marathon.
I'll be posting about my progress on here, Instagram @RunForSyria and Twitter @RunForSyria.
