What? Over the course of September and October every weekend I'll be running one of the nine Network Norwich Bus routes in aid of the mental health charity Mind. 

Why? I chose this charity partly because of the impact Covid-19 has had on our everyday lives and the effect it will have on many peoples mental health. But also to raise the awareness of mental health matters in general.  More people, of all ages, will be suffering from the often hidden effects of mental health issues and I firmly believe in the impact that physical activity has on our mental well-being. By doing a physical challenge I hope it helps to raise the awareness of the positive effects of exercise on our mental health, particularly during the unusual times we currently find ourselves in. 

The Norwich Bus network is a series of 9 'lines' that links the major towns and villages surrounding Norwich. During the challenge I'll cover a distance of approximately 200km, with the shortest being 10km and the longest being 41km (a marathon!) and will be doing it in distance order from shortest to longest, so it will get harder. If you would like to join me (socially distanced of course) for a route, or a part of the route either by running or cycling then please get in touch. I'd very much appreciate the support.

2. Purple line - Hellesdon to Mulbarton, 15km (Sun 13 Sept. 2020)
3. Red line - Thorpe St. Andrews to Queen's Hills, 15km (Sun 20 Sept. 2020)
4. Orange line - Old Catton to NNUH, 18km (Sun 27th Sept. 2020)
5. Pink line - Wroxham to NNUH, 20km 20km (Sun 4th Oct. 2020)
6. Charcoal line - Bungay to Norwich, 27km (Sun Oct. 2020 - World Mental Health Awareness)
7. Turquoise line - Spixworth to Attleborough, 31km (Sun 18th Oct. 2020)
8. Green line - Wymondham to Lingwood, 31km (Sun 25th Oct. 2020)
9. Yellow line - Fakenham to Norwich, 41km (Sun 1st Nov. 2020)
