My nephew George is 5 years old and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I am running the London Marathon to raise money for Action Duchenne - a charity dedicated to finding a cure for this killer condition.
It's harsh, but without a cure boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy are likely to be in a wheel chair by 10yrs, paralysed in their teens, and die in their late teens or early 20s.
Research is at a really critical stage and for the first time ever there is a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel. Help us to keep up the momentum and raise urgently needed funds!

26 miles not enough!!!! Well take at look at the adventure that Joy and Joff will take up when they start their 20,000 mile journey across America.....and all for Action Duchenne
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Action Duchenne gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Earlier donations on this page have been given to other members of Team Running for George who ran 10km in Battersea Park in Feb 09.
