Run to the Beat 2012 · 28 October 2012 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running a half marathon on October 28th 2012 in memory of my lovely friend Paul (or Trigg as he was affectionately known to many). He lost his battle against non-Hodgkins lymphoma in February this year after an 18-month battle against the disease, a battle he fought with great dignity and courage. He was just 33.

Paul and I had been friends since we were 15 and I met him through a group of lads ('the lads') I've known since primary school. Despite him being a Gooner and me and a huge Spurs fan, we got on brilliantly!

There was never a truer gentleman than Paul. Kind, gentle and strong, he was a very loyal person who would do anything for his family and friends, even if they were Spurs fans! Countless times, he would have a whole group of people in stitches with his wicked sense of humour and his laughter was infectious.

I miss him every day.

I know times are tough, but please dig deep and help me to raise as much money as possible to help the fight against blood cancers.

Any little you can spare will be very much appreciated.

Thank you xx
