We can all say we have been affected by Cancer be it as a patient, a family member of a patient or a friend or relative of someone lost to cancer. I know we all have these stories but that just makes it even more important to donate to the charities helping people cope with the situation they find themselves in.
I'm running the London Marathon in the name of Webby, a devoted husband to Nicola and proud father to Gracie and Jack, a loving son to Linda and loyal brother to Sharon. I'm very lucky to have had him as a best friend for some 35 years, so many happy memories to cherish. Webby battled cancer twice in his (way too short) life, but he never lost his positivity and fought to the end.
There were so many people involved in his medical care it is difficult to pick a cause to support, Macmillan were there at the latter stages of the illness to help support Webby and his family and enable him to spend the last, precious time at home.
We will all miss him terribly, I know he will be with me for every step of the 26 miles, his strength will keep me going!
Every penny raised will go towards helping others in their difficult times, please give generously!
