Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm guessing that if you are reading this you know me and therefore are extremely surprised that I would be voluntarily signing up to do any form of physical exercise, let alone running...in the cold...dressed in a Santa suit!
However, you may also know that since Tess came into our lives in June this year, a hell of a lot has changed.
Tess was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition when she was two weeks old. She had open heart surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital when she was six weeks old, and will need further surgery there in the future.
We spent ten emotional days at GOSH in July when Tess had her surgery and the experience transformed our lives. At every stage the kindness, compassion, skill and expertise of the staff astounded us, at every stage we were listened to and supported, at every stage Tess's best interests were at the forefront of everyone's minds.
We cannot thank the cardiologists, cardiac nurse practitioners, sonographers, paediatricians, anaesthetists, surgeons & ICU nurses of the cardiac wing enough. But we can try and raise some money so that their amazing work can continue to help families like ours and children and babies like Tess.
