Story

Proud as punch Aunty Natalie is running 10K, and cousins Lucas (age 10) and Manon (age 8) are signed up for the 2.5K fun run, with their Uncle Andy (will he or Lucas set the pace?).

BECAUSE... our lovely niece and cousin Clara Hope spent all the early weeks of her life in SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit) at Frimley Park Hospital.

We think the staff at SCBU are brilliant.  They work tirelessly to care for all the tiny lives that are sustained by them.  In the words of a SCBU nurse, there've been moments when Clara 'has run a marathon a day' in terms of the energy she's used up to keep going.  We're so proud of her for that.  Motivated by Clara we're fundraising to buy equipment for the new improved and enlarged SCBU.  This appeal is all about providing the best care for babies who are born into a struggle for survival.  It will enable families to be closer to their little ones during treatment, and help maximise mother and baby time during those crucial early stages of life.

Thank you for your support!
