The Enormous Elephant Run - London 2016 · 11 June 2016 ·

Our Teams work to protect Kenya's wildlife and habitats through Anti-Poaching operations, Community Outreach, Mobile Veterinary support and the rescue and rehabilitation of elephant and rhino orphans so that they can return to the wild when grown. With your help, we can save more wild lives.

Story

One elephant is killed every 15 minutes across Africa. That's nearly 100 a day. Many elephants targeted by poachers have milk-dependent calves, and without family or a mother, a baby has little chance of survival alone.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust works to protect wild elephants and rescue orphaned babies, giving them a second chance at a life in the wild. The DSWT is the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world, and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa.

I'm donning an elephant suit and taking part in The Enormous Elephant Run because I can't imagine a future without this iconic species - please help me raise vital funds for their protection and sponsor me today!

  • £15 can buy a lined blanket to keep an orphaned elephant warm
  • £55 can fund an Anti-Poaching Team for one day
  • £200 can fund a Mobile Veterinary Unit for two days
  • £500 can fund the care of an orphan elephant for an entire month
