We lost John Paul this time last year. In fact the whole world lost John Paul this time last year and it is all the poorer for having done so. John Paul was, is and always will be without equal. Whatever he did, he did to the best of his ability, he did it to the full, he was the best John Paul he could possibly be, in all that he did, but always with a smile on his face and with laughter in the air.

That's why I'm running for John Paul, to keep these values alive, his lasting and fitting legacy to me and, hopefully, his lasting and fitting legacy to us all.

That's why I'm running for Hackney Quest, a quite wonderful organisation that reflects these values in all that they do, every day and any day.
