Story

This is a team fundraising page.

Together, we: Dave, Bonny, Sarah, Lucy, Rachael, Ruth, Dave, Aneurin, James and Emma, are running the ‘Big Half’ on the 22 of August. We are running to remember and honour Katie. Her courage, her kindness and her beauty will never be forgotten. She loved the idea of us running together, and always wanted to give back to St Christopher’s in return for all the care she received.

We are raising money for this incredible hospice in thanks for the expertise, love and support they showed Katie, which was instrumental in maintaining her quality of life. So too, was the support they gave her family - empowering Dave, Michelle and Bonny to help care for Katie - and making sure Katie was able to live her life according to her choices.

St Christopher’s provide crucial end of life care, but they also help patients manage pain and the myriad of other difficulties and challenges they face, both at the hospice and in the community. Patients are offered complimentary therapies, such as massage, acupuncture and art therapy. They provide bereavement support to families and act as a place for loved ones to be remembered, whilst also being a hub for the local community.

To do this, St Christopher’s need to raise in the region of 16 million pounds a year. So please - help us help them - to continue caring for people and afford them the dignity that everybody deserves. At such a difficult time, we realise finding extra money isn’t easy, but it is all the more important. Thank you so much for your support.

Dave, Bonny, Sarah, Lucy, Rachael, Ruth, Dave, Aneurin, James and Emma. X
