About Rudy

Rudy was born in March 2020 with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Multiple Congenital Anomalies & seizures or MCAHS-1, which is characterised by global developmental delay, Epilepsy and Hypotonia (low muscle tone). Meaning Rudy can suffer from frequent seizures

needed to be controlled with medication, he struggles to hold his head up, sit up or roll. MCAHS-1 is so extremely rare, that there are less than 100 known cases WORLDWIDE. With so few cases to compare and huge variations in symptoms & severity, it is hard to know what life is going to be like for Rudy.

Harry & Nicola work tirelessly raising awareness & understanding for Rudy’s condition. Rudy’s story and their journey as a family can be followed on Instagram @rudysw0rld, to which we urge you to follow and understand just how amazing and a 'one in a million' Rudy really is.

Although Rudy is the main inspiration behind this Just Giving page, we have also been inspired by Harry & Nicola and wanted to help them with raising awareness & funds in aid of Haven House as Rudy benefits immensely from the care and therapies available.

Haven House provides invaluable respite, care and therapies for local children with complex needs and their families. Relying on fundraising Haven House provides events to help support the charity, which is why on Sunday 23^rd April Danny and TJ will be Running for Rudy in the London Marathon to help raise funds for this amazing charity!

Back in November 2021 we raised £6664.00 for Haven House by hosting a Workout for Rudy. A day of Hot Yoga & Fitness classes at the 121 Urban Hot Yoga Studio in Hornchurch, Essex, with local businesses as our main sponsors and prize draws/raffles.This year our aim is to beat that amount!

Donations of any amount can make all the difference and we are truly grateful for your generosity. With your donations it will mean that Havens House can continue to offer the amazing support, care and respite services to local children and their families.
