Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those of you who know me will know that I am no runner! However, in April 2017 I will be running 26 miles for Stroke Association. Whilst this will be a huge challenge for me, it is no where near as challenging as life after a stroke can be; not only for the person it has happened to, but also for the families who help to care for them.
In 2009 my family and I lost my grandfather, Trev, following a stroke a few years previously. I don't think that there is a single person who would disagree with me when I say he was one of the most caring, kind and self-less people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. He was always going out of his way to help others and raise money for charity. Therefore, it only seems fair that we do the same for him.
So please dig deep and give whatever you can to help Stroke Association change the lives of people affected by stroke. I myself was shocked to learn that stroke is the second single largest cause of death in the world. More needs to be done to raise awareness and money to help us learn more and care for people affected by it. Every penny counts!
Thank you again for taking the time to read my page and hopefully donate to a worthy cause - I promise to cross the finish line!! x
ps. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
