Vitality British 10k London Run · 12 July 2015 ·
I am lucky to have worked for People United for 6 years, and it is a great organisation. We really care about what we do, and believe in the power of arts and creativity to bring about positive social change. Sometimes it can sound a bit fluffy, but we really do believe in kindness.
It's not easy to raise money for our work at People United - we do not always fit into neat little boxes. We work with everyone, we work in all sorts of places and we work with a whole range of artists and art forms. And that's why, when the opportunity came up to run the British 10k and raise money for People United, I jumped at the chance. Perhaps 'jumped' is a slight exaggeration - I am not a natural runner so this is a big challenge for me! 10K seems a very long way! If you want to know more about why I'm running, you can read my blog post here. http://peopleunited.org.uk/2015/06/running-for-people-united/
