Running The Cotswold Way · 24 October 2016

We are a national charity working to transform the hopes and happiness of young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect. We support them through their most serious life challenges and we campaign tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September 2017 I had planned to run the length of the Cotswold Way National Trail, 170km, solo – no bling, just challenge and satisfaction.

However, while running the Snowdon marathon in 2016, Emma #Run500 “called me out” for only going one way (point to point), clearly this was a set-up to go further, and obviously I fell for it! She had a point, after all! So, not content with running 170km, I will also cycle from Gloucester docks to the start of the Cotswold Way, running its full length, then cycling to Sharpness docks, before kayaking back to the Start / Finish at Gloucester docks. Over 300 kilometers in total, in under 48 hours.

Cycle – Gloucester-Chipping Campden 50km
Run – Cotswold Way 170 km
Cycle – Bath-Sharpness 55 km
Kayak – Sharpness-Gloucester 16km
301km in 48hrs

And then it’s time to PARTY (and sleep)!

All in aid of the great work done by The Children's Society.
