Run Scarborough 24hr Charity Endurance Challenge · 17 July 2021

We exist to help lost, injured or distressed persons in and around the North York Moors, Wolds and Coast. We also spends time in the local community educating people to be safe in the hills and what to do if something goes wrong. We are funded 100% from fundraising and voluntary contributions.

Story

Run Scarborough brings you the 24hr charity endurance challenge.

At 12:00pm on Saturday the 17th of July. Teams of runners will start their 24hr journey to see how many laps of the 2 mile course they can complete. Our teams will be setting off from the Open Air Theatre in Scarborough on a predetermined course. They will have to work as a team to make sure they can maximise the time they have and too see how far they can go.
This challenge is in aid of Scarborough and Rydale Mountain Rescue Team.

There will be teams of 2-12 people and maybe some brave enough to do it solo. All pitting their wits against the clock.

The Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team is a totally voluntary organisation. It exists to help save lives and assist people in the area of the North York Moors National Park. Charity Number: 1174125 The Team is run on a purely voluntary basis, members receive no payment or expenses for their services.
It costs in the order of £40,000 per year for them to maintain the service they provide.
