Story

Hello. On 22 April 2018 I'll be running the London marathon for Team Sally Army. Whoop!

It's a massive honour to get a place on their team for this race, and I'm more than a little intimidated by the physical task ahead - but with your donations and diligent training I'll be powering through the thigh chafing, cramps and exhaustion to raise money for homeless services in the U.K.

Visiting hostels run by the Salvation Army since I started to work here 18 months ago has opened my eyes to the vital work this charity does with homeless men, women, young people and children. 92p of every pound raised for The Salvation Army will go straight to frontline work to end homeless in our communities.

I'm gonna be organising a few activities in the lead up to the marathon to raise funds -including selling off my wedding dress! - but if you could bung me a tenner that would also be wonderful! Queue an 80s film montage of vigorous running, deep heat, shadow boxing, eye of the tiger throbbing soundtracks, assault courses in snow, bench pressing children, and high fives!

Thanks for your support, means a lot. Solidarity to folks experiencing homelessness and hardship getting back on their feet!
