Story
Since becoming teachers we've all learned that the support and wellbeing of our students isn't something that stops when they leave our classrooms. Everyday we strive to make our students feel valued, safe, and supported in every way they need us. Mental health is an incredibley powerful part of that wellbeing, so we have decided to run the Hackney Half Marathon and raise money in support of MIND.
MIND offers our school talking therapy for children, helping them to understand their feelings and learn techniques and coping mechanisms. One thing that comes from running is 'resilience'. Battling the physical and mental boundaries that sometimes tell you, you might not make it to the end. Research shows that building this resilience can reduce your risk of psycho-emotional issues and help young people to recognise and protect their mental health.
Any money you donate will help the vital work that helps to support our students in all aspects of their life. Wish us luck!
