My dad is my hero. Just shy of 12 weeks after open heart surgery, he's back out running. Seeing Dad being diagnosed with his condition, staying positive throughout and even more so in the run up and recovery and staying active made me so proud and his determination to keep going made me realise I can do whatever I put my mind too. So I decided to sign up probably far too many running challenges. This year, I am going to the do the Bath Half, Race to the King, Great South Run and the Bournemouth Marathon!

Wessex heartbeat were there for my dad through with support and care and they also have a b and b close to Southampton General for families to stay whilst their loved ones are in hospital and I wanted to raise money to say thank you and to keep them offering those services to other families should they need it.
