Deutsche Bank employees in the UK have voted Malaria No More UK and Rainbow Trust Children's Charity as their two Charities of the Year for 2014.

Story

2014 is the year of the lycra! Following on from Bradley Wiggins in 2012 and Chris Froome in 2013, I am trying to make a similar impact on the Tour de France in 2014....

PART ONE:

From June 20th-22nd I am part of a 100 person Deutsche Bank team taking on 323 miles in 3 days, following as closely as possible the Grand Depart route which starts the Tour de France 2014 in Yorkshire.

We spend the first 2 days tackling the Yorkshire Dales, before a flatter (!) cycle in to London on Sunday 22nd June, finishing on The Mall, expect a Cavendish sprint finish!

PART TWO

On July 20th (hopefully I'll recover in time) I am taking on the famous Etape du Tour. This year it is 100miles with over 10,000ft of climbing. We take on the famous Col du Tourmalet (6,939ft) and finish in the mountains with a climb up Hautacam (5,000ft)

Thanks for your support for these two great charities, both aiming to help children and their families in their own unique way.

RainbowTrust help terminally ill children and their families.

Malaria No More UK aims to eradicate child deaths from Malaria - it's an entirely preventable disease and we all hope to see an end to it in our lifetime.  It costs only one pound to treat a sick child!
