My name is Russ. Nicholson, I have been a member of The Salvation Army all my life, and I am a soldier of The Salvation Army at Stockton on Tees.

The Salvation Army has always been a caring church and sought to help those in need. In this day and age it seems inconceivable that we are still fighting against homelessness and slavery amongst other things, and yet The Salvation Army is probably more involved now than ever before. As a bandsman and songster I am always amazed at the generosity of the public who give so freely to our organization and want to say a big thank you for what you give.

As someone who enjoys cycling I have decided to take part in the Prudential Ride London 100 mile cycle ride on 16^th. August 2020, as a member of the ‘Sally Army Riders’ group, in doing so I want to raise money to help the Salvation Army fight against People  Trafficking and Slavery.
