In 2015 I raised £1200 for Meningitis Now by running the London Marathon. I was very fortunate that many of my friends and family (and even a couple we met on the tube) decided to sponsor me, although I do not expect anyone to feel they need to again. 

The motivation for my fundraising is because Isabella was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis in 2014, when she was just 18 months old. She was very brave and we have been unbelievably lucky and we can look back now and realise more and more just how serious this illness can be. 

Many children and families are not as fortunate as we have been and we will never forget the medical treatment and support Bella and our family received. Meningitis Now are vital in ensuring more and more families can share a positive story following a very dark time.
