WellChild is the national charity for sick children. We provide essential practical and emotional support for seriously ill children, young people and those who care for them across the UK to ensure they receive the best possible quality of care.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following  my successful, and life changing, climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro in 2010, then my walk across the Sahara in 2013 and my trek through the Summatran Jungle in 2015, all for the Wellchild
Charity, I'd made a personal commitment to myself to become more
involved in charity challenges and specifically for the national charity
for sick children - Wellchild. As a result of this commitment, my next
challenge is an extreme cycle ride through Vietman and Cambodia in October 2017. From Ho Chi Minh to Angkor Wat (quite a distance), in 90% humidity and 90 degree heat - quite a challenge!!

Wellchild is a fantastic organistaion that does alot of impressive work throughout the country on a limited budget, Their simple  aim is 'to improve the lives of the seriously ill children and their families'. They don't limit themselves to a particluar illness or geographic location, they aim to help all children and young adults, no matter what their condition.

Despite huge advances and often immeasurable improvements in medical treatments and techniques, a lot more needs to be done to ensure improvement in many young peoples lives.

I've  made my personal commitment to help towards the charities aim and I'd personally ask you, and would be forever grateful, for any sponsorship or donation. Please be as generous as you feel able and I thank you in advance for your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll  never sell them on or send them unwanted e-mails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
