We provide free conductive education to help children with cerebral palsy

Story

The Russell WBHO site team working on the STFC Supercomputer Project are walking the Sandstone Trail on 8 July 2023 to raise money and awareness for 'Stick n Step'. The team are aiming to complete it in one day, targeting 12 hours.

Stick n Step is a charity that enables, inspires and supports children with cerebral palsy and their families. Stick n Step support children and young people with cerebral palsy up to the age of 25 through the provision of free weekly conductive education sessions.

The Sandstone Trail is one of the most popular long distance walks in the North West. The Trail stretches for 34 miles / 55 kilometres along Cheshire's Sandstone Ridge, running from the ancient market town of Frodsham to Georgian Whitchurch in rural north Shropshire.

The Team undertaking the challenge consists of: Lee Mottram, Matt Wilson, Jake Ogden, Joseph McHugh, Marcus Crawford, Colin Hindley, Jonathan Rhodes and James Brown.
