We create lasting change for children in urban poverty in Nepal. Many face daily neglect, abuse & exploitation — ignored, invisible & without hope. We improve well-being, education & job prospects while protecting them from harm. With our partners we help each child reach their full potential.

Story

Having braved the trek to the Annapurna Base Camp and then the epic Everest Base Camp challenge in the beautiful mountain regions of Nepal, we have decided to take on a challenge closer to home for 2011. This year we will be trekking along the rugged Pennine Way, covering the whole 270 mile trail in three stages over the summer. Surprisingly, this challenge will be even more demanding than our mountain treks. We shall go much further, have no Sherpas or porters and be navigating our way on our own across desolate, bleak and boggy moors – the toughest British National Trail. Once again we will be doing this to raise vital funds for a charity very close to our hearts, Child Welfare Scheme (CWS), and we would like to ask you for your support in raising funds for the charity’s valuable work in Nepal.

We’ll do the hard work and walk the next 270 miles and all we ask of you is to dig deep and sponsor our walk with whatever you can afford. It really doesn’t cost much to make a difference to the lives of children in Nepal, so please be generous.

£10 can provide life saving medical help for a child living in a remote mountain village

£50 could provide protection for an abused girl by paying for an emergency shelter for a month

£100 could change a street child’s future by paying for a month’s vocational training

£250 could save lives by paying a doctor’s salary for a month.

£500 could help educate 10 children by covering school costs for a year including fees, uniforms and books.
