Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When Nic and I lived in London, we both volunteered for Faith in Action, the drop-in centre for homeless and insecurely homed people in South London, offering food, showers, laundry and fellowship. I wrote the words for ‘A Homely Blessing’ and we commissioned the setting by Helen Sanderson White. The recording I made with David Barton at the Summerfield Studio will be released on 12 November 2022 https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ruthcarlyleanddavidbarton/a-homely-blessing. Options include free listening on YouTube and SoundCloud.  If you like the song, do consider making a donation to Faith in Action.

About the charity

We help people in and around the London Borough of Merton who are homeless or rough sleepers. They can have a shower and shave, wash their clothes, have two good meals, and access the internet. Our team of staff and volunteers offers advice and help with job searches and benefit applications.
