On Saturday 9th July, 5 fellow Chew Valley Netball Club players and I are running 5 miles alongside Chew Valley Lake to raise money for Cancer Research UK. If any of you know anything about Netball, (7 players in a team!) you'll be wondering what's happened to our 7th team member.....well, our 7th player is a bed! Yep, her name is Bessie, she's a beaut but getting old (just like the rest of her team!) and she's now retired from Minehead Hospital and has found a new lease of life! We'll be pushing Bessie around the 5 mile Chew Valley Bed Race, one of our team on the bed at a time, competing with 26 other such teams including the local rugby team and Chew Stoke Morris Men!!

We challenge you to think of anything more bizarre to sponsor and would really appreciate your support to help us raise as much as possible for Cancer Research UK!
