The Million Squid is ready to set sail to conquer new marathons. They are looking to raise funds for CwCUK, but also to encourage people to take part in this once in a lifetime team activity and to attempt to break the record over and over again!

Story

So people, this is five races for the price of one. Over the next three months I'm going to be running (deep breath) the Barcelona marathon, the Kielder 50 mile ultra, the London marathon and one week later..... the Milton Keynes marathon in a 40 man viking boat - the Million Squid :-) (see picture for more details!). If I'm still standing after that lot I'm capping it all off with the Comrades 55 mile ultra in June!

What is the Million Squid I hear you ask? Well .... last October, 44 runners broke the world record for running a marathon in a 40 person costume Viking boat called the Million Squid. This was the first of several marathons planned for the boat which aims to raise £1m for Children with Cancer over the next 18 months and I'm joining these legends in Milton Keynes.

Children with Cancer UK actively raises and invests money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their families together. Their vision is for every child diagnosed with cancer to ring their end of cancer treatment bell. It's a wonderful cause and cancer charities are very close to my heart so I would be hugely grateful if you could dig deep to support me and the Million squid.
