I will be taking part in a swim from Beaumaris Pier to Bangor Pier in September to raise money for Team Irfon and the local cancer ward, Alaw Ward in Ysbyty Gwynedd. The swim will be particularly emotional this time around with Mum having died since the last swim for Team Irfon, therefore this will be dedicated in her memory. Having seen first hand through Mum's experience, the amazing work Team Irfon does to support the wellbeing of cancer patients in this area, it is vital that they receive donations to continue their invaluable care. Since 2014, the #TeamIrfon swim has raised over £20,000 for the North Wales Cancer Care Fund to help improve cancer care across North Wales. This year, we are back for another Pier to Pier swim to raise money for a cooling cap for Alaw Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd!The Pier to Pier swim is taking place on Saturday 16th September 2023, with timings to be confirmed, and simmers will go from Beaumaris Pier to Bangor Pier in a 2 mile swim.
