On the 6th of July last year my nieces and nephew tragically lost their Dad at the young age of 26 and my sister Laura lost her soul mate. Karl was a big part of my family's lives and he was like a little brother to me and my middle sister Helen. 

My sister Laura joined the Cruse Crew, along with other families from the area in a similar situation, to raise  £30,000 in aid of Cruse Bereavement Care Tyneside to enable the charity to run its children' bereavement support service from a base within South Tyneside.

Previously families had to travel to Newcastle for the support. This amount has been raised and just recently the charity has been able to secure premises at Cleadon Park PCT and the service is now up and running. 

This Charity is very close to my heart as I have witnessed the benefits it can give to families, therefore I want the service to continue and support the children and young people of South Tyneside. Myself, my partner Simon Parkin, Ray and Chris Canham (members of Westoe Brass Band) are completing the C2C from the 24th July over three days..........hopefully!!!
