I'm going to attempt  the Manchester Marathon next Sunday.  This will be my first ever Marathon!  It has always been on my 'bucket list' and with a little puersuasion from a friend I agreed to get involved.

I started training about 13 weeks ago......I had no idea how much mileage and time is involved in the training.  All was going well until a niggly pain in my hip and knee got quite bad.  I've rested it for 3 weeks hoping that it will help me to make it round on the day!

I'm running(the word used losely :O)) in memory of my cousin Mel.

Mel suddenly died last July from Adult Death Syndrome ADS she was only 39 years old.  Mel was a big supporter of Cancer Research.

Mel's boyfriend Mark Fretwell (who is doing lots of crazy long distance bike rides in her memory) inspired me to set up the Just Giving web page.

If you can spare a couple of pounds for this wonderful charity it will really help to spurr me on! (It is worth 'gift aiding' the sponser money because the chartiy can get more money somehow)

If anyone prefers to sponser me with cash just let me know :O)

Thanks in advance, Love Ruth xxx

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So please dig deep and donate.  26.4 miles is a long way..... its only 10 miles from Bury to Manchester..Its almost the same distance as running from Bury to Warrington.... long way on your feet ...maybe 4:30 -5:30 hrs!!!
