Story

This page has been dedicated to celebrating the life and memory of Ruth Cave.  Ruth was an incredible inspiration to all those who met her.  Her kindness and support touched many and her amazing joy of life reached far beyond those she knew.  Ruth had so many accomplishments in life, not least of which are two wonderful children Abigail and Polly.  She had a knack of knowing what to say and how to say it.  Her motto 'your life is an occasion, rise to it!' summed up her approach to everything she did, even when her secondary cancer diagnosis was given.

Ruth passed away on Sunday 29th April 2012.  Her funeral will be held on May 11th 2012.  The family has requested that rather than flowers, people donate to the Maggie's Centres as it was through her involvement in the 'Tuesday Group' at Dundee's Maggie's Centre that Ruth found great comfort.  Please use this page, therefore, to donate directly to this cause.  Please also feel free to leave any messages or stories of your connection with Ruth.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
