Story
They think its all over..... It is now!!!
I've done it!!! I am so proud to announce that i have completed the london marathon in 5 hours 58 minutes. It was the most physically demanding thing i have ever done and there was a point around 24 miles i thought i wouldnt get to the finish. But i willed my legs to keep moving and my mind to stay focused.
I couldnt have done it without all of your support and i was constantly thinking of everyone wishing me to do well.
I would like to say a huge thankyou to my mum, dad, sister, bestfriend Cat (megaphone woman extrodinaire!) and Claire for being "TEAM RUTH". You were all unbelievable on the day, thankyou for coming down to london with me and cheering me on. The thought of seeing you at 23 miles kept me going!
I would like to also mention my big brother Oliver who gave me the inspiration to do the marathon. He was with me in spirit on the day through all the 26.2 miles!
I initially wanted to raise £1500 for leukaemia research and was amazed with everyones generosity so i increased it to £2000. I am currently kicking the ass out of that target too and now i want to get to the £3000 mark. So please, please tell all yor friends and family what a great cause this is and ask them to make a small donation to help me reach my target.
A BIG THANKYOU once again, love Ruth xxx
Thank you for visiting my sponsorship webpage.
Most of you will already know that i lost my brother Oliver to leukaemia five years ago and this is why i have decided to run those gruelling 26 miles to raise money for leukaemia research. All donations are really appreciated and im sure you will all be cheering me on when the big day comes!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
