Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

This page is dedicated in memory of Ruth "Ruthie" Alexander, who died on 6th June 2008.

Ruthie was a loving and generous young woman who did a lot of fundraising for the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at the Gabit Events Conventions in the UK. She worked hard at the conventions selling raffle tickets, working the auctions and generally sweet-talking people into parting with their hard-earned cash for this worthy cause.

This page has been set up so that her friends, both at home and overseas, can pay tribute to her and continue the work she enjoyed so much.
