Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2018 · 29 July 2018 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I've bitten the bullet and signed up for the 100 mile Ride London cycle event and decided to do it in memory of and to celebrate the life of my younger brother.
Eddie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was aged 6 or 7 - and from that age he had to give himself insulin injections every single day. He was funny, quirky, loyal, loving and, like any sibling, intensely annoying at times!
He died from diabetes at the age of 26 - nearly 25 years ago - I miss him and I still find it a struggle to talk about him. I think he'd be proud to find me raising money for Diabetes UK - but somewhat puzzled that I'd think a 100 mile bike ride was a good idea.
So on Eddie's behalf I hope you are able to support my ride and help with my fundraising efforts...
Thanks for reading this.
